As always, we tweak the series each year to keep things interesting. This year's fun includes the following changes and additions:
- Bonus races are back! We're featuring four races across four disciplines, each worth 150 points.
- James River Trail Run 50k
- Shenanduro 6-hour MTB race
- Seven Bends 7-hour Adventure Race
- New River Trail Challenge Adventure Tri
- Monster Cross rejoins the series as the opening event on February 15, 2026. We'll be scoring the 25-mile race for points.
- Broad Run Off Road is back with two new "Summer Sizzle" 5-hour Adventure races on June 13 and 14, 2026, at Lake Anna State Park. Two courses will be featured on Saturday and Sunday, and both will be scored.
- RVA Racing has added a 45/90 mile gravel race, the Highlands Hop, to the Middle Mountain Momma weekend. Both the Saturday 45-mile gravel and the Sunday MMM 21-mile will be scored for points.
- This year, we've put together 5 weekends with Saturday and Sunday races in the same park. It's a great chance to compete in two events in one weekend.
The Competition Category is scored on your top 6 race point levels. Only one race per event will be scored for points. Please make sure you register for the designated races to be scored in the Competition Category.
Achievement Category: Participants who finish lower than the top 10 in the Competition Category, and have completed a minimum of 6 races, will receive a $85 (price of a Virginia State Parks annual pass) gift certificate.
All categories on a Series' events race day will be counted toward your race total, not just the designated scored race.

Notes on the schedule: Occasionally races will change dates and/or be cancelled for a variety of reasons. Whenever there is any change in a race's status, we'll update the website as soon as we can. However, our Facebook page typically has the most up-to-date information before it appears on the website.

- Prize Breakdown

- Racers will be scored on top 6 finishes.

- Races will be scored on a 100 or 150 point scale. First place will receive 100/150 points, second place 99/149 points, third place 98/148 points, etc. Anyone finishing outside the top 100/150 will receive one point for completing the scored race.
